Other than the strawbales, building materials for David and Barbara's house were delivered at the WD. We have a lot more room around our place, and it would have been very difficult for the semi trucks to negotiate their driveway.
It was decided that with the porch forms curing, today would be a good day to move some of the materials to the building site as the forecast still called for wind. The most worrisome were the trusses, which are a bit delicate, but with the help of our 3-horse trailer, it proved to be a cinch.
There was also a lot of press board, dimension lumber and a lot of steel for the roofing. The steel is still in the trailer as it did not make any sense to move it more than once. I hope the weather forecast proves true for tomorrow (calm), because that will mean that the trusses go up.
