With spring in apparent full swing, many animals, aside from us, are calling the WD home. The orioles have moved in, and there are numerous (nest) building projects going on all around. Coyote pairs come by on their daily route for water, and leave their card ... We relish all this company.

What a wonderful bird! I am so jealous - yet again. How is Roadie doing?
It's a hooded oriole. There are some twigs on Roadie's roost, but no eggs yet... Will keep you posted for sure.
We occasionally get a "Baltimore" oriole, altho I understand they aren't classified as that any more, but NOTHING as pretty as this one. Thanks for the ID.
