We went to get hay this morning, which makes me feel like a rancher. This means a trip to Willcox, 30 miles away, and even though there is not a dedicated Starbucks, there is "coffee" for on the way home.

Will that get the horses thru the rest of the winter? or, will you need another load? That seems like an aweful lot to this city girl, but wouldn't want hungry horses!
That is about 2 months worth. Half of it is Bermuda grass and half Alfalfa. One horse eats about 3-4 "flakes" combined. They are big animals, and hay is what keeps them warm, so don't be skimpy with the food. They also drink gallons a day.
I bet this was more than you ever wanted to know :-).
