Probably, because this little bat flew several rounds in the garage, and appeared healthy. Reluctant to leave though, and he was eventually offered the broom as a mode of transportation to the "garbage hole", where it is also kind of dark so he can catch up on his sleep. He went a-chattering: "thank you", or "no, thank you"?
So cool to see them up so close.

I have a young friend who recently discovered a colony of bats in his attic. He is not afraid of them, but not amused either! We have tried several times to attract a colony - put up a bat box and everything - to no avail. I would love to have some to keep down the mosquitoes and other nasty bugs in the yard.
They are so ugly that they are cute!
oh THIS is funny... I saw a bat laying on the floor of our barn close to where the showers are... I did a double take, and it was a PLASTIC bat, one that had been part of a hanging halloween decoration - PACK RATS had taken this decoration down, and were smuggling it to their nest under the showers!!! that was before I relocated the pack rats. cracked me up! I do on rare occasion see a live bat in our barn. they are way cool!
