A couple of weeks late, but the birds are telling me the apricots are ripening.
The garden is going great guns. I am not sure whether this is due to cooler weather this Spring, or if it is thanks to a new, improved, irrigation scheme. Lots of greens, zucchini, flowers on the cantaloupes and tomatoes, and these thinnings. Beet greens went to happy chickens.

Open, open, OPEN!
The bees can hardly wait for the cane cholla blooms to open and once they do, they are so busy, they sometimes fall asleep on the job.
Oowee, auwee
There is a new crop of ground squirrels, raising havoc under the bird feeders, sparring with siblings, and eating new pencil cholla "leaves".
Dan hates this plant, and I am only marginally liking it, because it has evil, invisible, stickers and is in the way of hanging Christmas lights on the house. How this guy/girl avoids them is a mystery.
